1) Why did you decide to transform?

I decided to transform my lifestyle because I had a future planned and my lifestyle had to change for those plans to happen. My goal was to feel healthier and more confident in my own skin. Moreover, I wanted to be acknowledged about how to transform healthily and safely.

2) How did you accomplish your goals?

My primary objective was to gain weight, as I felt I was too skinny. Adhering to a structured routine and diet initially was challenging, but over time, it became easier. The key to my success was maintaining consistency throughout my fitness journey.Moreover, I studied and graduated in Physical Education and sports , So I was fully acknowledged about how to sustainably achieve my goals.

3) Training routine that helped you achieve your goals?

I have experimented with various workout splits, but currently I am not following any specific routine. I just focused on consistency and being mentally prepared for the changes I needed to make to accomplish my goals.

4) Which supplements did you take?

I choose not to take any supplements.The body requires essential nutrients ,which can be met with a natural diet I believe.That’s why I follow a natural diet with no supplements. Moreover, I used the BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) concept to educate myself about proper nutrition.

5) What challenges did you face during your transformation?

Although the entire journey was a little challenging, but the most challenging part was maintaining discipline, specifically my diet.

6) Suggestion for future transformers.

I advise others to stay consistent and prepare themselves mentally for the transformation. Having an education background in physical education and sports myself, I believe having good knowledge and understanding of how your body functions, can help you to make sustainable changes.

1) Why did you decide to transform?

The reason why I started my fitness journey was all the bullying i experienced ,not only from my friends but my family members too. This motivated me to decide to bring a change—not to prove them wrong but for myself.

2) How did you accomplish your goals?

 I accomplished my goals by following a strict routine for my meals, workouts, and sleep. 

3) Training routine that helped you achieve your goals?

I’ve experimented with different training routines, but what worked best for me was the PPL split.

4) Which supplements did you take?

 The only supplements I use are whey protein, creatine, and fish oil. 

5) What challenges did you face during your transformation?

As I live alone in PG, managing everything-my diet, workouts, and studies was a bit of a challenge during my transformation.

6) Suggestion for future transformers.

My advice for others on their transformation journey is to stay consistent and dedicated towards their fitness goals.

1) Why did you decide to transform?

Physical fitness has a wider perspective other than looking good. I had a few set of goals such as keeping my mental health in check together with improving muscle strength and endurance for an overall cardiovascular system for a sustained time.

2) How did you accomplish your goals?

Figuring out “Why” was the core reason that kept me pushing forward towards my goal. I started off with keeping things simple initially and focused more on agility and a strict diet plan.

Starting my day with cardio and then a high intensity weight training was my simple plan towards this journey. But what made my journey more smooth was my clean diet which focused more on Macros, especially my Protein intake which usually was around 100 grams throughout the day with an adequate ratio of carbs and fats.

And above all, one thing which kept me going was my will to never give up and show up everyday on the field or in the gym.

3) Training routine that helped you achieve your goals?

As I mentioned, my day usually starts with cardio more specifically running which always played a significant role in my weight loss journey. Moving on to weights, I experimented with various splits from training one part a day to a mixture of full-body exercises but what worked wonders for me was the push-pull-leg split.

4) Which supplements did you take?

Protein intake was my major concern throughout the day. So, Protein supplements played a vital role in my journey . Other than that I consumed Creatine for rapid recovery during training.

5) What challenges did you face during your transformation?

Personally, I’ve faced a few obstacles along the way. One significant challenge was finding the right balance between the demanding work schedule and prioritising regular workouts. To address this, I implemented a structured weekly planner. Nutrition was also a challenge, as finding the right balance between enjoying food and maintaining a healthy diet proved to be trickier than anticipated. To address this, I educated myself on nutrition, with different meal plans with more focus on Macros. Understanding that setbacks are a natural part of any fitness journey, I learned to adapt and prioritise long term health over short term setbacks.

6) Suggestion for future transformers.

Motivation and consistency is the key factor which will help you towards your journey. Setbacks are a part of this journey but each time you think the journey is becoming tougher, just remember the “why”, why you started?

As far as suggestions are concerned, the first and foremost thing is to set specific goals. Second of all, focus on nutrition and lifestyle by creating a balanced diet.And for workouts- start with a beginner’s program and gradually increase intensity and difficulty as you progress. Focus on progressive overload. And finally follow the simple mantra of “never giving up”.

1) Why did you decide to transform?

I was so obese that I could not find clothes of my size. And even any outfits did not look good on my body because I was overweight. Moreover, my health was also not good which made me realize that I have to get transformed.

2) How did you accomplish your goals?

I was very dedicated and disciplined and followed a healthy diet to achieve my goals. Even on days when I could not workout, I followed my diet properly.

3) Training routine that helped you achieve your goals?

The training routine that I followed was cardio plus weight training. I do cardio in the morning and weight training in the evening.

4) Which supplements did you take?

For supplements, I only consume whey protein because I am a vegetarian.

5) What challenges did you face during your transformation?

5)One of the biggest challenges I faced was being able to control my unnecessary food cravings. But I controlled my mind to avoid street food, oily food, and sugar. It was hard but I managed to overcome all my cravings.

6) My suggestion to all those aiming to lose weight is follow a healthy lifestyle, stick to your diet, and start weight training because it helps in toning the body especially if accompanied by cardio.

1) Why did you decide to transform?

 I decided to transform and begin my fitness journey because I was underweight and when I started doing transformation, I was just 45 kg. I just had this in mind that I have to do it by anyhow. So once I started my fitness journey it became an addiction to me and now working out has become one of the favourite parts of my lifestyle also, my day doesn’t end without it. 

2) How did you accomplish your goals?

I accomplished my goals by staying consistent and dedicated to my goals by monitoring and tracking my workout progress, nutrition, and a balanced lifestyle, including proper rest and sound sleep, leading to proper recovery.

3) Training routine that helped you achieve your goals?

The training routine I followed was 6 days a week, which included 5 days of weight training and 1 day dedicated to HIIT. Being consistent and progressive overload were the two keys which have helped me to attain my goals.

4) Which supplements did you take?

Supplements that I have been consuming since the time I have started my fitness journey-whey protein, fish oil , Creatine , multivitamin

5) What challenges did you face during your transformation?

Challenges that I faced during my transformation were staying consistent with my diet.  The results were slow because I was a skinny guy and putting on muscle mass took a lot of time. Striking the right balance between college life and fitness life was a challenge in the beginning but with time, things became easier and better due to consistency and hard work .

6) Suggestion for future transformers.

A few suggestions for future transformers, that I would suggest is to be patient, and stay dedicated towards your goals. It is a marathon, not a 100 m sprint.You will not see results on a daily basis. It is a long-term game that asks for your consistency, dedication, and discipline towards it.Results will take time, so enjoy the process. Always have self-belief and strive towards achieving excellence .

From Overweight to Empowered: Karan’s Inspiring Health Transformation

1) Why did you decide to transform?

I was an overweight kid since childhood and that chubbiness became one of the biggest hurdles when I grew up. People used to body shame me, and I started facing many health problems, like high blood pressure and shortness of breath. So, in October 2020, I took the first step toward changing my life.

2) How did you accomplish your goals?

Weighing 112 kg, I knew I had to prioritise my health and set a goal to reach 78 kg. I started by overhauling my diet—eliminating sugary drinks and junk food and focusing on whole foods like lean proteins, fruits, and vegetables. Meal prepping became a key part of my routine, helping me stay on track.

3) Training routine that helped you achieve your goals?

In the beginning I focused more on cardio but after gaining knowledge through various online platforms I started focusing more on strength training so I have been following push pull legs training split for the past 4 years and I am getting very good results from it.

4) Which supplements did you take?

Nutrition wise I mainly focused on a high protein- moderate carbs diet along with high water intake and I supplemented myself with whey protein, creatine and multivitamins.

5) What challenges did you face during your transformation?

The biggest challenge I faced was my irresistible craving for sweets and junk which I knew I had to control. Many times I used to feel low in energy due to high calorie deficit. By determination, I overcame all the challenges.

6) Suggestion for future transformers.

One advice I would like to give people who are aiming for a transformation is to be consistent , don’t fall for early results, focus more on training , high protein diet and don’t starve.
