Falling in Love with the Journey – Shashwat’s Fitness Story

1. Why did you decide to transform? 

I was extremely skinny throughout my late childhood and early teens. I never liked eating food and during my early teens, I started exercising at my home just for fun. Eventually, I liked what I was doing and I started gaining interest in fitness and decided to transform myself.

2. How did you accomplish your goals? 

I joined the gym at 15 after exercising for a couple of months at my home and I just wanted to build muscles and have an aesthetic physique. I made a lot of mistakes in the first year of my training and eventually I began to learn a lot of things and implied them gradually in my fitness journey.

3. Training routine that helped you achieve your goals? 

In the first year of my training, I followed a bro split which I don’t think is optimal but then I followed push pull legs for 2 years and this split was far better and helped me transform myself.

4. Which supplements did you take?

I relied mainly on whey protein as well as creatine.

5. What challenges did you face during your transformation?

Being a vegetarian and not so financially stable, I always found it difficult to get enough protein and this was a major challenge for me.

6. Suggestion for future transformers.

The suggestion that I would like to give them would be to not compare their journey with others and to not rush things. Try to find out what mistakes they are currently making and try to rectify them. The most important thing is to be in love with the journey and not just the destination.
