From Struggle to Strength: Abhishek’s Remarkable Fitness Transformation

1) Why did you decide to transform?

Physical fitness has a wider perspective other than looking good. I had a few set of goals such as keeping my mental health in check together with improving muscle strength and endurance for an overall cardiovascular system for a sustained time.

2) How did you accomplish your goals?

Figuring out “Why” was the core reason that kept me pushing forward towards my goal. I started off with keeping things simple initially and focused more on agility and a strict diet plan.

Starting my day with cardio and then a high intensity weight training was my simple plan towards this journey. But what made my journey more smooth was my clean diet which focused more on Macros, especially my Protein intake which usually was around 100 grams throughout the day with an adequate ratio of carbs and fats.

And above all, one thing which kept me going was my will to never give up and show up everyday on the field or in the gym.

3) Training routine that helped you achieve your goals?

As I mentioned, my day usually starts with cardio more specifically running which always played a significant role in my weight loss journey. Moving on to weights, I experimented with various splits from training one part a day to a mixture of full-body exercises but what worked wonders for me was the push-pull-leg split.

4) Which supplements did you take?

Protein intake was my major concern throughout the day. So, Protein supplements played a vital role in my journey . Other than that I consumed Creatine for rapid recovery during training.

5) What challenges did you face during your transformation?

Personally, I’ve faced a few obstacles along the way. One significant challenge was finding the right balance between the demanding work schedule and prioritising regular workouts. To address this, I implemented a structured weekly planner. Nutrition was also a challenge, as finding the right balance between enjoying food and maintaining a healthy diet proved to be trickier than anticipated. To address this, I educated myself on nutrition, with different meal plans with more focus on Macros. Understanding that setbacks are a natural part of any fitness journey, I learned to adapt and prioritise long term health over short term setbacks.

6) Suggestion for future transformers.

Motivation and consistency is the key factor which will help you towards your journey. Setbacks are a part of this journey but each time you think the journey is becoming tougher, just remember the “why”, why you started?

As far as suggestions are concerned, the first and foremost thing is to set specific goals. Second of all, focus on nutrition and lifestyle by creating a balanced diet.And for workouts- start with a beginner’s program and gradually increase intensity and difficulty as you progress. Focus on progressive overload. And finally follow the simple mantra of “never giving up”.
