  4. Lazy and double vision eyesight
  5. Trouble reading and figuring out objects

Types of Eye Exercises You Can Try

People whose eyes are facing issues due to age-related muscle degeneration, cataract-related issues, and glaucoma can benefit from eye exercise to improve vision. Here are some of the best exercises you can try for a better eye health:

  1. Blinking Break

Most of us concentrate for long hours on our phones, laptops, or TVs – this is when our eyes get dry and stressed out. You need to blink in between and relieve your eye from drying out and causing headache strain due to overstressing the eye.

  1. Rolling Your Eyes

Another easy exercise to increase eyesight. You just need to roll your eyes from right to left. Remember – when you feel your eyes are stressed out, then do the roll-out exercise accordingly.

  1. The 20-20-20 Rule

Use this eye exercise to improve vision naturally. The rule says when you are overstressed about something, take a break every 20 minutes and focus on an object 20 feet away for 20 seconds. This way, your focal length in the eye will be strong and improve over time. This rule helps mainly in maintaining healthy eyesight

  1. Palming to Relax

This is a yogi style of exercising your eye. When your eye gets fatigued, rub your both palms and then gently place them on top of the eyes (eyes should be closed). This relieves the eye strain and you get back to de-stressed eyesight. Palming exercise is mostly used by workaholic people since they are the ones focusing on screens for a long time.

  1. Figure 8

This is also a convenient eye exercise, where you have to imagine a figure 8 in front of you at about 10 feet away. After making the figure, move your eyesight along the 8 figure in a clockwise direction and then anti-clockwise direction. This way, it improves a person’s focal length and gives good eyesight.

  1. Near and Far Focus

This will benefit people who wear glasses or spectacles. Take off the glass and place your thumb in front of the nose, close to the eye and one thumb a little away from the other and far away from the eye. Now, you have to focus on the closest thumb and then the one that is far. Do this one at a time and if possible cross focus. This will strengthen your eyesight. Do this eye exercise to improve vision fast.

  1. Zooming Exercise

It is the best exercise to increase eyesight. One needs to sit at a calm place and stretch apart their arms and then slowly bring them together with thumbs up. While the eye should focus on the movement of the thumbs getting closer as they come together. This eye exercise helps zoom the eye lens and de-fatigue the eye. As a result, it enhances the eyesight for better vision.
